In times of crisis, business process optimisation comes to the fore for most enterprises. The main optimisation criteria, one way or another, are the financial indicators of the process itself and of the enterprise as a whole.
For a competent analysis, on the basis of which the management decision to optimise will be made, it is necessary to understand the horizon of impact of optimisation measures, their direct and indirect effects, and the risks associated with change. In this course the participant will receive everything needed for the practical application of methods for analysing the economic effects of optimisation measures.
We will go through the basic concepts used in the process approach, practise on examples the skills of assessing the economic effect of optimising various processes, and carry out a comprehensive analysis taking into account different project horizons.
The programme uses both the trainer's examples and participants' real processes, and can be adapted in advance to the customer's needs — taking into account industry specifics and the company's own optimisation projects.
Workshop: describing processes and choosing effectiveness criteria and optimisation approaches
Workshop: potential types of economic effects
Workshop: the assessment scheme and its elements
Workshop: freeing up capacity, relocating equipment, increasing useful time, increasing vehicle load capacity, reducing defects, shortening repair time, optimising reporting
Day 2Workshop: comprehensive analysis of the economic effects of business process optimisation
Workshop: analysing the hidden risks of optimisation
Workshop: choosing between alternative optimisation assessment options
Integrated assessment of the economic effect of business process optimisation
Instructions:
(1) Participants (in groups) choose a «process» other than the one already discussed
(2) Carry out a comprehensive optimisation analysis, taking into account possible short-term and long-term effects
(3) Present the results of the discussion on a flipchart
(4) Briefly present their conclusions
