General information about the course:

The course is based on the publication «ITIL® 4 Direct, Plan and Improve» and is structured in accordance with the requirements of the AXELOS certification exam «ITIL® 4 Strategist Direct, Plan and Improve». During the 3-day training participants receive the theoretical material and practical skills needed to analyse and carry out improvements.

For the organisation in terms of:

  • — setting goals and determining the direction of development
  • — forming plans to achieve the goals
  • — implementing plans to achieve the goals in the modern world and under digital transformation (digitalisation)

The materials of the course «ITIL® 4 Strategist: Direct, Plan and Improve» contain an overview of practical methods of planning (forming) an IT strategy with a view to ensuring continual improvement in line with changing requirements and external conditions (environment). The course is intended for managers at various levels involved in shaping the organisation's development vector / strategy, and for members of the groups responsible for implementing that strategy and ensuring continual improvement of operations. The course contains methods applied at both the tactical and strategic planning levels, which makes it useful for both senior and middle management of the organisation.

Who the course is for:

Since the training contains a programme and study materials that differ from the trainings of the previous ITIL version, it will be useful both for managers who have previously trained under programmes of previous ITIL versions and for managers being trained in the practical aspects of IT Service Management for the first time. Studying the course materials may be useful to the following categories of specialists:

  • — Understanding of the role of «Governance, Risk, and Compliance» (GRC) and the ability to use it when building the Service Value System (SVS) model
  • — Understanding and ability to use the key principles and methods of Continual Improvement for improvements of all types
  • — Understanding and ability to use the key principles and methods of communication in Organizational Change Management
  • — Understanding and ability to use the key principles and methods of measuring results and reporting in goal setting, planning and implementing the strategic plan
  • — Understanding and ability to use value streams and the practices (processes) of strategic planning
