Labour law is not only rules and statutes but also a living mechanism regulating the interaction of millions of people: employees, employers, state bodies, trade unions and work collectives. Behind every rule stands the protection of rights, a balance of interests and the search for fairness. That is why understanding the subjects of labour law becomes the foundation for HR professionals, lawyers, civil servants and managers.

Within this topic you:

— Will analyse the classification of subjects of labour law and learn what roles they play in the modern system of labour regulation.
— Will study the legal status of citizens and employers, and the specifics of the participation of trade unions and work collectives.
— Will immerse yourself in the key document — the employment contract: its parties, content, conclusion procedure, transfers, rescission and termination.
— Will master the legal regulation of the work of certain categories of employees — from civil servants to employees working on a rotational basis, part-time or in small businesses.
— Will examine the system of working time and rest time: from flexible schedules and cumulative recording to the regulation of leave, public holidays and days off.
— Will study wages and compensation: principles of remuneration, forms and systems, bonuses, payment for overtime, night work and public holidays.
— Will gain an understanding of labour discipline: incentive and disciplinary measures, internal work rules, the procedure for appealing disciplinary decisions.
— Will become familiar with the institution of material liability of the parties to the employment contract and the procedure for compensating damage.
— Will learn to understand labour disputes — individual and collective, and learn about the right to strike and the conflict resolution procedure.
