Practical experience
1976 – 1988 — Kazakh Institute of Mineral Raw Materials (KazIMS) of the Ministry of Geology of the Kazakh SSR and KazPTI, head of the implementation of geological exploration drilling equipment and technology in Kazakhstan and Central Asia at deposits of: gold — in the semi-desert areas of Betpak-Dala and the Kara-Kum desert, Tayozhgeologiya, Khabarovsk Krai; polymetals — in the Altai Mountains and the Dzungarian Alatau; industrial diamonds — Kokshetau region; antimony — Fergana Valley; as well as in seismic surveys and water source prospecting, including at oil and gas fields
1989 – 2005 — supervised drilling operations during the construction of the Almaty Metro, ore extraction at the open pits of Maikainzoloto OJSC and geological exploration expeditions of Kazakhstan
2005 – present — works at KBTU at the Department of Petroleum Engineering as professor (head of department in 2007-2008 and 2011-2012). Lectures and holds practical classes on the courses "Fundamentals of Petroleum Engineering", "Deep Well Drilling Technology", "Drilling and Blasting", "Well Deviation and Directional Drilling", "Oil and Gas Well Drilling Technology", "Drilling of Oil and Gas Wells", "Exploration Drilling", "Enhanced Oil Recovery Methods" and others. Supervises student placements at the Embamunaigas and Ozenmunaigas production branches, the Great Wall drilling company, Karazhanbas, Kumkol, Tengiz, Karachaganak, etc.
